Project Outline
This was a unique program in where the existing 1965 apartment building was purchased by the owners with the intend on converting the existing services to green energy and renovating the 113 residential units to a modern-day design. The exterior of the building also received a face lift with new stucco façade, new glass balcony railings, and new doors and windows. The ARK team were hired by the Owners as Construction Managers for the interior/exterior retrofit and green energy conversion.
With upgrading any services in an existing building there are always issues. The main one on this project was that the over half of the suits were still tenanted.
Result
The ARK team coordinated daily with the tenants, the property managers, and their trades, along with the ARK trades to complete not only the geothermal upgrades, but the suit renovations as well. It was a constant communication program that was executed with not only precision but with care as we interrupted homes and families, but in the end provided a product that is not only green but classy as well.
